How to make popcorn applying mobile phone electromagnetic waves

This 'experiment' was performed by some friends who bet 20 bucks that they can actually make popcorn by applying some electromagnetic waves around them.

They put their mobile phones in an strategical way so that EMW's can interfere creating maximum's that theoretically are responsible for making the little corn blow.

I honestly think this was all 'fake', but anyway I'll try this experiment, as I'm really into this subject of Telecommunications!
